San Marcos Outlets: Overnight Storefront Walkway Pour

On January 15, 2026 we poured a section of the covered storefront walkway at the San Marcos outlets. We set steel and placed concrete after hours so the stores could stay open.

    Retail concrete without the disruption

Outlet centers depend on foot traffic. Night work lets us cut out old concrete, tie a fresh rebar mat and pour under lights, so shoppers find finished, barricaded sections the next morning instead of an active jobsite.

    • Rebar grid tied on chairs for proper cover
    • Concrete placed and screeded under temporary lighting
    • Edges finished tight to storefronts and columns
    • Area protected while it cures

    Getting ADA work right

Accessible ramps leave little room for error. Slope, cross-slope, landing size and transitions all have to meet ADA requirements, or the work gets torn out and redone. We form and check every ramp before the truck shows up.

    • Remove existing walks at the entrance
    • Form new sidewalks and the ramp to ADA slopes
    • Pour directly from the ready-mix truck
    • Broom finish for slip resistance

Banks, offices and retail centers call us for ADA upgrades. Request a quote for your property.

Fuel stations are hard on concrete. Loaded tankers, constant traffic and fuel spills call for thick, well-reinforced paving and tight joint work. Work also has to be phased so pumps stay open to customers.

    QuikTrip: Overnight Demo, Next-Morning Pour-Back

Convenience stores never close, so concrete work has to fit into a single night. In May 2022 we completed four QuikTrip remove-and-replace jobs on back-to-back nights, then returned in November for demolition at North 1604/37 and Foster/I-10.

    How an overnight cycle works

    • 9 PM: barricade, saw-cut and break out the old concrete
    • Overnight: haul off spoils, prep base, tie steel
    • Morning: pour back and finish (the fourth job poured at 10 AM)
    • Protect and reopen as soon as the concrete allows

Our first QT job was demolished the night of May 8 and poured May 9. The third, at Marbach and 1604, was demolished overnight on May 15. The fourth was demolished at 9 PM on May 16, with steel tied and pour-back at 10 AM on May 17.

This kind of schedule takes our own equipment, an experienced crew and tight coordination with the ready-mix supplier. Talk to us about phasing your site.
